- The purpose of this policy is to create and establish a working environment that respects, promotes, and ensures human dignity and the right of every person to a workplace free from violence and harassment. Our company declares that it recognizes and respects the right of every employee to a workplace free from violence and harassment and does not tolerate such behavior, in any form, from any person.
- This policy is adopted in accordance with Articles 9 and 10 of Law 4808/2021 and the corresponding regulatory legislation and applies to the individuals referred to in paragraph 1 of Article 3 of Law 4808/2021.
A. Prevention and Combating of Violence and Harassment at Work:
- Any form of violence (physical, verbal, and psychological) at the workplace is strictly prohibited. Work relationships are governed by the principles of camaraderie, decency, and kindness. Aggressive, harassing, or simply rude behavior should be avoided. Strict adherence to hierarchy and discipline should not serve as an excuse for unacceptable behavior.
- Department heads (exercising managerial authority) and the hotel's management are responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with all of the above principles.
- Each staff member is informed during their initial onboarding training about the corporate culture and the principles that govern it. They are encouraged to discuss anything that bothers them and deviates from these principles.
B. Procedure for Receiving and Handling Complaints:
- In the event of any such incident, each staff member has the right to report or file a complaint with their respective department head. The department head, acting as a "liaison" with the business, is obligated to report the incident to the hotel management for any necessary measures to be taken.
- Each staff member also has the right, in special cases (at their discretion and depending on the incident), to bypass the department head and directly contact the hotel management.
- The department heads and the hotel management may also act consultatively and supportively in other cases of violence, such as domestic violence, for example.
- Any information or reports made to either the department heads or the management remain strictly confidential.
- The company is committed to ensuring that any investigation and examination of complaints will be conducted impartially, with the utmost protection of the confidentiality and personal data of the victims and the accused. Any "retaliation" against affected or involved individuals is also explicitly prohibited.
- Any "decisions" or consequences upon determining violations are the final responsibility of the hotel management. The consequences, depending on the severity of the incident, may include: a warning, reprimand, mandatory leave from work, or even termination of the contract, in addition to potential reports to the relevant authorities.
- The hotel management is finally obligated to report and facilitate anything requested or required by the relevant authorities.
